You can't always choose what's happening. But you have more choice in how you experience it than you may realize.

Choose How You Want to Feel - Even When Everything Feels Hard

A 90-minute live workshop for sensitive women who want more choice in how they feel, respond, and show up, even when life gets hard.

Thursday, October 15 · 12:00 PM CST · $57 · Virtual via Zoom

THE HARD DOESN'T HAVE TO HAVE ALL OF YOU.

Maybe something difficult has already happened, something you're nervous about is coming, or you're living through a season of life you never would have chosen. Whatever the circumstances, it can be easy to feel as though how you feel depends on what happens next, how someone else responds, or whether the situation changes.

Choosing how you want to feel isn't about deciding to be happy when everything is hard, or asking fear, sadness, anger, or any other difficult feeling to disappear. It's about moving into the feeling states that will support and nourish you as you navigate the hard.

You have more say in your emotional experience than you may realize.

In 90 minutes, I'll walk you through a practice I've used through some of the hardest moments of my own life to create more choice in how I feel and how I show up within them.

You’ll learn how to...
01

Recognize when something you're facing has begun taking up more of your mental and emotional energy than you want to give it.

02

Choose two feeling states that can support and nourish you alongside whatever you're already feeling.

03

Work with your actual nervous system and wiring, so the feeling states you choose are realistic for who you are and what you're facing.

04

Put the practice to work in your own life and identify the choices that can help you move into those feeling states.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF...

  • You replay conversations long after they're over, thinking about what you should have said, what they meant, or what you wish they understood.
  • You can exhaust yourself before a hard conversation or stressful situation even happens, imagining what might go wrong and bracing for how you'll handle it.
  • You're living through something difficult, uncertain, or painful that you can't simply fix or make go away, and it's taking up more of your emotional world than you want it to.
  • You try to think your way into certainty because it feels like there must be an answer that will finally let you relax.
  • You know that how you're feeling is affecting how you're experiencing yourself, your relationships, or your life, and you want to discover what else might be available to you.
  • You want more say in how you experience your life, even when you don't get to choose what's happening around you.

Hi, I'm Sue.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a self-trust coach for sensitive women. I help women quiet the overthinking that makes it hard to hear themselves, trust what they know, and move forward in ways that align with who they really are.

I'm also someone who feels everything deeply. This practice came out of one of the most challenging periods of my life, navigating divorce, loss, grief, and a whole lot of uncertainty. I was exhausted by how much time I was spending in my own head trying to think my way through things I had very little control over.

So much was happening that I wouldn't have chosen, and I refused to let what was happening determine the rest of my life. I wanted to have some say in how I experienced it, and I was determined to keep creating a life I loved.

What I'm teaching in this workshop grew out of that time. I've used this practice before walking into a birthday party I was anxious about, in a mediation room where I didn't feel safe, and in circumstances I never could have imagined facing. I've also had to learn how to make it realistic, working with my own wiring rather than pretending something isn't hard when it is.

It has become one of the ways I remind myself that even when I don't get to choose what's happening, I still get to have a relationship with how I move through it.

This is a story-based workshop, so you'll learn the practice through the real-life experiences that shaped it and see how I've used it to prepare for and move through some really hard moments. You'll also have space in breakout rooms to explore what it could look like in your own life and connect with other sensitive women.

Afterward, you're invited to continue the conversation inside Rising Circle, my free online membership for sensitive women.

Can't attend live? The replay will be sent to you, along with an invitation into Rising Circle. I'd love for you to join us there.
